Having recently undergone a multi-million-pound refurbishment programme, 2024 is the perfect time to join New Park Manor Hotel. All existing spaces have been transformed, including the bedrooms, restaurants, children’s’ areas and the spa. The design is inspired by the building’s history as a royal hunting lodge as well as the ancient woodland that surrounds the manor.

We are now seeking a talented and dedicated Assistant Bar & Restaurant Manager to join the team at New Park Manor, a renowned establishment known for its commitment to excellence and exceptional guest experiences.  Your role will involve supporting the management team in day to day operations of the restaurant, encouraging your team members, taking and delivering guests orders, anticipating guests needs and always going the extra mile.

A passion for food and beverage is key and a friendly, outgoing personality is a must!

Position Overview:

As the Assistant Bar & Restaurant Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Bar & Restaurant Manager with overseeing the daily operations of our restaurants, ensuring the highest standards of service, and contributing to the overall success of New Park Manor. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working in a similar role, a passion for delivering outstanding customer service, and the ability to lead a team to success. This a permanent role, at 40 hours per week over 5 days (including weekends), with an annual salary of £31,000, plus generous service charge and a brilliant benefit package.


  • Assisting in the management of day-to-day operations of the bar and restaurant.
  • Supervising and training staff to ensure high standards of service.
  • Handling customer enquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional manner.
  • Managing inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining stock levels.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of marketing and promotional strategies.
  • Monitoring financial performance and assisting in budget management.

To succeed in this role, we are looking for someone who has:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role in the hospitality industry with a minimum of 2 years in a similar role.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a passion for creating a great team dynamic, where team development is a priority.
  • A candidate who has a great of current industry trends and food safety standards and loves the hospitality industry as much as we do!
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities with exceptional communication and service skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and bank holidays.
