Babysitter

At Fowey Hall Hotel, we pride ourselves on being more than just a luxury family hotel – we're a family-focused destination where cherished memories are made. We have a dedicated Creche – The Den, for the children of our guests staying at our hotel, and also offer a babysitting service.

Role Overview:

To care for the children of our guests when required, ensuring the children’s safety and wellbeing.

Job Type: Casual Worker Agreement – Hours are offered to our casual workers in line with the demands of the business.  Flexibility will be key, as shifts will vary and will include some weekends.  The rate of pay is £18 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

● Always present a professional appearance and attitude, maintaining an excellent standard of customer service.

● Be aware of the responsibilities of working alone, and at every babysitting session ensure you have clocked in and have safety steps in place to ensure communication with the rest of the hotel.

● When meeting Parents encourage open communication to discuss individual child needs

● To care for children of different ages, abilities, backgrounds, and cultures.

● Use initiative to entertain children.

● Be an enthusiastic story book reader.

To succeed in this role, we are looking for someone who has:

● Previous experience working with children in a childcare setting is preferred, with experience working with babies to primary school age children

● Accredited childcare/play work qualification Level 2 or 3 is essential.

● A genuine passion for working with children and creating positive experiences for families.

● Paediatric First aid qualification is essential.

● Enhanced DBS check essential
